Roxy Rocker speaks with a passion that reflects both her dedication to her career and her lived experience with disability. As she shares the trials and triumphs that have shaped her journey, her authenticity and resilience shine through. Roxy’s story is a powerful reminder that perseverance and determination lead to progress. Listening to her, you can’t help but feel inspired with renewed hope and confidence that, by continuing to push forward and refusing to give up, you too can reach your destination.
As a Team Lead for the Disability Inclusion Leaders (DIL) program, I had the opportunity to work with Roxy during her time as a DIL. Roxy brought a unique and important perspective to the group — not only as a person with a disability, but also as a small business owner committed to creating more inclusive opportunities for others.
Her passion for disability employment was clear, especially in her work with Deloitte, where she contributed ideas on how MassAbility could better support disabled entrepreneurs. She also participated in focus groups throughout the program, offering insights that helped shape our collective understanding of accessibility and inclusion from a business owner’s lens.
One of Roxy’s standout strengths is her ability to connect with people. She’s a natural at engaging with others and has a strong presence in the disability community. Whether networking at events or speaking with local leaders, Roxy brings energy and authenticity to the room.
It’s been valuable having her voice in the DIL program, and I’m excited to see where her passion for inclusion and community-building takes her next.
I have had the pleasure of knowing and working alongside Roxy as a Disability Inclusion Leader for several years now, and she certainly lives up to her moniker. I can tell you that as one of the team leads for our group, we always knew that the energy that she would bring to the room or meetings was going to be upbeat and full of life and laughter.
Roxy has spent Many of the past few years building her businesses and her brand. So having the opportunity to work with her in a team setting, and see the way she was able to make that adjustment was quite special to me. Though we are completely different, we literally think the same way. And I do not mean about entrepreneurship…I mean we literally think the same way when it comes to how our brains process information. Working with Roxy helped Me figure out some of the executive function issues that I have.
Roxy has a heart that is as big as whale, and all she wants to do is help people and raise awareness for the disability community. It was truly a pleasure to work with Roxy the last few years. Our work together on our team may be done, but I know that I have a teammate and a friend in Roxy for life.
